Barn Reared White Turkey's

Our Barn Reared Turkeys are grown for us by Bertram & Celine Salter on their farm in Fenagh, Co. Carlow. They grow a certain breed for us known as "Plumpie" which has a unique gene that as the Turkey matures and grows the ratio of breast meat to leg meat is far greater.

This breed is best suited to an environment of a small flock where they have plenty of room to roam and that's why you won't see them on the supermarket shelves.
