Certified Rare Breed Droimeann Beef is the oldest of Ireland’s native cattle. Instantly recognisable by the distinctive white streak along its backbone and a white
diamond between its hind legs, the Droimeann Cow is an ancient Irish breed once found
throughout Ireland, that is now only found in a handful of isolated pockets. Having spent many decades helping to protect the Droimeann Cow, which is intrinsic
to their identity and farming heritage, breeders have devoted recent months to
carefully rearing the dual-purpose animals specifically for their unique meat. The Droimeann Cattle Society’s exclusive partnership with Kerrigans to offer nationwide delivery, represents the first time that the speciality seasonal meat has been made available on a national scale, albeit in limited quantities for the time being.
