Our Barn Reared Turkeys are grown for us by Bertram & Celine Salter on their farm in Fenagh, Co. Carlow. They grow a certain breed for us known as "Plumpie" which has a unique gene where when the turkey matures the ratio of breast meat to leg meat is far greater.
This breed is best suited to an environment of a small flock where they have plenty of room to roam and that's why you won't see them on the supermarket shelves. When selecting your size you can choose to have it LBRS (Legs removed, boned, rolled & stuffed). The extra charge is for the stuffing.
